  • Founder & Executive Editor

    Natalie is a high school senior and avid writer from San Francisco. She finds joy in changing seasons, sunrises, and brand new sketchbooks. When she isn’t writing, Natalie can be found listening to indie folk and rock classics, making artwork collages, and tearing up over a good book. As someone with a zeal for literature and community organizing, Natalie is ecstatic about running the magazine and playing a role in sharing the amazing stories of youth writing!


  • Executive Editor

    Ava Rosoff is a senior at Lowell High School who is passionate about creative writing, particularly poetry, short stories, and personal essays. When she isn't writing or doing schoolwork, Ava can be found reading books from just about any genre, listening to music (especially Harry Styles and David Bowie), drinking green tea, and staring pensively into the distance as she contemplates the meaning of the universe.

    Olivia Bye is a senior at Lick-Wilmerding who is passionate about creative writing, short stories, and journalism. When not writing, she can be found reading a book, hanging out with her dogs, or playing the only few songs she knows on the guitar. She is so excited to be a part of a magazine that provides a platform for youth to share their writing.

    Milo Kofman is a Senior at The Nueva School who is amazed at the way writing helps him process and communicate to himself and others. Although he tries to not restrict himself by genre, his work often comes out as Poetry, Personal Essays, or Flash Fiction. When he isn't writing or reading, Milo can be found listening to indie music, boxing (with a bag), making rings, or enjoying the comforting presence of nearby friends.

    Ana Sage is a high school senior from Marin with a love for words. She enjoys writing in most genres, but has a special affinity for poetry and longer form projects, in which she enjoys pushing her characters to their limits. When she isn’t reading or writing, you can find Ana covering Fleetwood Mac at a local open mic or baking up a batch of chocolate chip cookies to force into the mouths of her friends and family.

    Boo is a 10th grade student at Ruth Asawa School of the Arts. In her free time, she likes to draw, write, and make jewelry.

    Cove Johnson Rabidoux is a student at San Francisco University High School with a passion for writing. Her work can be found on Teen Ink, The Teen Magazine, The Spearhead Magazine, the Hot Pot Magazine, Leaders Across the World, and on her blog titled Blue Pencil Writing. She also serves as an editor for several publications including the Trailblazer Literary Magazine, Hot Pot Magazine, Cathartic Youth Magazine, and others. When she's not working on her novel, Cove enjoys reading, traveling, and baking.

    Ashley Hong is a high school senior at the Orange County School of the Arts. While writing, she will always have a cup of coffee and a bowl of popcorn tucked next to her. She is fascinated by the art of words as her main mode of expression is through poetry, short stories, and flash fiction. Her work can be found in Teen Ink, Catheartic Magazine, Persimmon Lit, and iO Literary Journal. In her free time, she is often lost in the abyss of YouTube.

    Taylor is a high school senior who has an endless fascination with everything to do with words, whether that’s writing short stories, reading from her ever-growing pile of books, or filling out the daily crossword puzzle. She finds particular interest in the power of writing to allow readers to see the world through a new lens and hopes to provide writers with a platform to share their unique perspectives. Outside of writing, she enjoys exploring the stranger corners of history and going on meandering walks throughout the city.

    Chloe Fong is a junior at Ruth Asawa School of The Arts in the film department. She is inspired by Bay Area and Asian culture and spends her time making films, studying films, and writing personal essays and narratives. She also enjoys drawing, Taekwondo, hip-hop music, Wong Kar Wai movies, and surreal art. Chloe's love for San Francisco is her main muse for all things art and literature, hence her excitement to be part of a local youth anthology.

    Clarisse Kim is a high school junior and aspiring writer based from San Francisco. She wants to use her poetry to breathe life into different stories and to show the beauty of the seemingly mundane. When she isn't writing, Clarisse can be found reading the latest sci-fi novel, eating her weight in MadeGood berry granola bars, or playing (though mainly losing) crane games. She’s excited to be part of the SFYA editorial team!

    Bianca is a sophomore at the University of California, Berkeley. She is an English major, and is also currently the Lead Editor of Publicity for the Berkeley Fiction Review. Bianca possesses a strong passion for reading, particularly works of fiction, and would like to delve more into creative writing. When her head isn't buried in a book, she can be found baking, playing cozy indie video games, hiking, going to concerts, listening to music, or spending time with her two cats. Bianca appreciates literature and art to a high degree, and she is very eager to be a part of a youth anthology, which will be a new experience for her.

    Jacob Jing is a writer currently studying visual arts at the University of North Texas. He has been published in Spellbinder Literary Magazine, among others, and he is forthcoming in Cloudscent Journal. Jacob is an ardent admirer of bodies and skies, and when not writing, you can find him napping, taking a walk, or annotating a book. His other works can be found here.
